Traveling the world as a military spouse for over 25 years along side my husband's active duty military career, has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. We lived on both the East and West Coasts, plus the Midwest, and even overseas in the United Kingdom. This unique lifestyle not only fueled my passion for travel but also sparked a deep desire to build and run my own businesses—whether in between or alongside the corporate positions and leadership roles I was blessed to hold.
There’s truly nothing like the freedom and fulfillment that comes with small business ownership. It offers the flexibility to design your own schedule around your family and work life, while creating joy and meaningful experiences with others along the way.
Next to my life in Christ, being a military spouse for over 40 years now has been one of my greatest challenges and blessings in life.
We are both thankful to God for this journey and for those who have helped us along the way.
WHY DID YOU WRITE A BOOK ABOUT MARRIAGE?
We wrote this book because of the many mistakes we made and the things we wish we had known before getting married. Our hope is to provide insight, encouragement, and guidance to others—whether they’re currently married or preparing for marriage.
After 39 years together, we felt God leading us to share our story. That calling was confirmed when Trilogy Christian Publishing reached out and offered to publish our book, How to Build a Successful Marriage.

Who Inspired You to Become an Entrepreneur?
My dear Aunt Lucy Rome (God bless her soul) from Bradenton, FL, and the Proverbs 31 woman from the Bible, were the two most influential women in my life who inspired me to become an entrepreneur.

We currently own three primary companies to include:
1. A home-based travel agency, Travel Treasures By TJ. We specialize in cruises and group trips to international destinations for couples and family vacations.
2. A network marketing business, called the Haygood Group. We specialize in creating leverage, residual, and legacy income for our business partners by selling the most exciting and lucrative home based business on the planet. We help individuals and existing business owners start their own in-house or independent travel advisory/agency business and we teach them how they can help and empower others to do the same.
